vacation- trip to Malaysia
As most of you know, last year I had a trip to Malaysia planed with Matt. He told me to pick any place I wanted to go in the world and we would go. I have always wanted to see the rainforest, so after 3 months of research, I picked Malaysia. We were supposed to go on this trip in September of last year. But then, I was fired by KBR, Matt and I split, and I didn’t get to go. I was heart broken, but during the eight months I was in the states, I kept telling myself that I would get my trip to Malaysia on of these days. Well, that day has come. I am currently in Kuala Lumpur and will be flying out in the morning for Tawau. I have added a little to the trip I originally had planed. I am going have a week of diving in which the diving lessons are included then I am going to the rainforest for a few days. After that, I have a few days to just explore on my own and then I have a Jungle Adventure. I am ending the trip with a stay on one of the Borneo, where I can do some more diving and just kick back and relax. For many of us, we dream dreams that are within our grasp, but fail to follow them because we let life interfere. It matters not if it is a big dream or a small one. One thing I have learned in the last few years is life is too short to let those dreams die. Even if it takes you a year, or several years to see them through, you have to hold onto them. When we quit dreaming, we allow our spirit to fade away. So, to all those that helped me see this dream through and gave me the encouragement to keep dreaming, I thank you. And even to Matt, who I have not spoken to since before the New Year, I thank him. He showed me it is ok to have dreams. I would not be on this trip if it had not been for him. I am in Malaysia!!!! WHOO HOO!!!
