On the road again
WOW! Life can really throw ya some curve balls when it wants to. As everyone knows, about 5 weeks ago I injured my right foot stepping out my Peterbilt in the dark. I have been off work ALL this time. The doctor released me last Tuesday, (I had to push him a bit on it thought). But during that time, it seems like my family needed to just put up a big red cross on top of the house and create a MASH unit. Two and a half weeks after I hurt my foot, my Dad had quadruple by-pass heart surgery, a week after that and the day after my Dad got out of the hospital, my brother had surgery. We all live next door to each other in Mississippi. Course, there is also my Mom and Step-Dad in Arkansas and they hit a deer one night on their way home. Mom took MANY stitches in her head and is having problems with the eye that is near those stitches. But as I have said many time, some things just happen for a reason. My Dad and brother took care of me the first two weeks after I was hurt because I was on crutches, I got off them just in time to take care of Dad and my brother and was released to go back to work just as they were able to take care of themselves. Weird how things work some times!
Anyway, as if all that isn’t enough, I am buying a mobile home to put on my land beside my dad, my oldest boy gets out of the Army, and my youngest boy and his girlfriend sort of run off together. There are reasons that they took off and because they really don’t want that known to the world, I wont go into it here. Lets just say that their reason is a good reason and as soon as my house is set up, I think they will be coming to live with me till they find jobs and get on their feet. Oh, and my middle son has said that he wants to come down and find a job in Mississippi as well.
So that is my family life right now. I know I have not been as active as I use to be, please forgive me. Due to all this and some other things that I will explain in another post, when I have more time. Please know that I am with ya’ll. It is just that some times we had to take a break and take time for ourselves and our family. My support to my fellow bloggers here at ASP is still as strong as well as my support for our Troops and civilian contractors. But till things can settle down a bit, I will be more in the back ground for a while. As always though, if you need me, feel free to email any time. I still try to make sure I have a little time to talk, share stories and support those protecting us and supporting them.
